Colin
Fox, owner of Colin Fox & Associates has been awarded
the Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment
Real Estate Institute. The designation was awarded November during
the National Association of Realtors’ meetings in Orlando, Florida.
CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial
real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, evaluation, and
investment analysis. Of the estimated 80,000 commercial real estate
practitioners in the United States, only 4% are CCIMs, mostly because
the designation is very difficult to obtain.
To obtain the CCIM designation, a
candidate must successfully complete an extensive graduate-level
curriculum and undergo constant testing. Before anyone is allowed
to take the final gruelling 8-hour comprehensive examination, the
candidate must provide evidence of completing a minimum of $5.0
million in closed commercial transactions and demonstrate the CCIM
skills used to close them.
With these requirements in mind it
is easy to understand why many in the industry refer to earning
the CCIM designation as “the PhD of commercial real estate”. |

World’s
Largest Network
Property transactions increasingly
involve regional, national and international players. The CCIM
business network encompasses 1,000 markets and is a powerful
force for developing referral business and meeting a client’s
needs across town or around the globe. Through this commercial
real estate network, the largest on earth, CCIMs successfully
complete 60,000 transactions annually representing $54 billion
in value.
Through an award-winning Web site: http://www.ccim.com,
and an exclusive e-mail network, a client's property is marketed
to thousands of prospective buyers, sellers, and space users.
Other Designations
In addition to the CCIM designation,
Colin Fox has also

Awards
In past years, Colin Fox has been
named Commercial Realtor of the Year as well as Residential Realtor
of the Year, by the Bay Area Board of Realtors. He was also awarded
the Golden Rule Award by the Women’s Council of Realtors.
However, his crowning achievement
was realized three years ago when he was the recipient of an award
named in his honor by Bay Area Turning Point (BATP), a shelter
for battered women. Every year, BATP presents the “Colin Fox Award”
to an individual or group who has taken a leadership role in the
community which has made the advancement of BATP’s mission and
goals possible. This award honors Colin Fox who led the planning,
designing, and building of the Agency’s shelter facility in the
Bay Area.
